Perodua contributes additional medical supplies to Hospital Sungai Buloh

Perodua has contributed an additional RM80,000 worth of medical supplies to Hospital Sungai Buloh as part of the compact car company’s ongoing efforts to support key public institutions nationwide.

The medical supplies include 5,000 face shields, wheelchairs equipped with safety belts, commode chairs, transfer boards, bed railings, rehabilitation chairs, walking frames, walking sticks and a therapy tilt table.

The 5,000 face shields Perodua contributed to Hospital Sungai Buloh were manufactured by an associate company, bringing the total number of face shields the carmaker has contributed to various organisations in Malaysia, to 35,000.

Recipients of the face shields included schools, clinics, local government offices and councils, and even market hawkers in the surrounding community.

The face shields feature a fog-resistant visor made of polyethylene terephthalate for optimal visibility, sponge cushioning that hugs the forehead to act as a barrier against airborne droplets, and an adjustable elastic band for a snug and comfortable fit.

In the early days of the first Movement Control Order (MCO) last year, Perodua contributed 150 mattresses, 200 pillows, 105 boxes of mineral water, 15 industrial fans and 300 pairs of rubber boots to Hospital Sungai Buloh.

“We will continue to communicate with key public institutions to see where Perodua may contribute strategically in supporting the nation. We thank and salute our brave men and women who work tirelessly to serve us all,” Dato’ Zainal said.
