ACO Tech marked its fifth anniversary this year, celebrating a transformative journey by unveiling a glimpse into the future with the announcement of solutions developed in response to evolving user trends and demands.
The upcoming advanced ACO Tech offerings showcase an advanced version of ATLAS, which include the updated VR capabilities with Bahasa Melayu and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) languages specifically designed for Malaysian users. The company is also developing an e-Call emergency response system and a cloud enabled V2V communication system to assist in traffic disruptions or accidents. For EV users, ACO Tech is working on a one-touch feature through the built-in application, which aims to enable users to conveniently locate the nearest charging station, make payments, and plan trips.
The announcement was presented and previewed during ACO Tech’s fifth anniversary event, ATLAS Re:Imagine, which was graced by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Yang Berhormat Tuan Chang Lih Kang. Also in attendance were Chief Executive Officer of PROTON and Chairman of ACO Tech Dr. Li Chunrong, Deputy Chief Executive of PROTON Roslan Abdullah, and Chief Executive Officer of ACO Tech Li Pu.
A white paper titled “Application Scenarios and Data Governance of Connected Vehicles in Malaysia” was also presented during the event. The paper provides a detailed analysis of global and Malaysian connected vehicle technology, highlighting advancements in 5G, AI, and big data. These technologies are enhancing road safety, traffic management, and user experiences. In Malaysia, the focus is on leveraging these innovations alongside strong data security measures to advance connected vehicle systems. Through collaboration with government agencies and OEMs, ACO Tech has contributed to industry growth, improved data integration, and enhanced user satisfaction.
With the emergence of increasing data-sharing, customer support and community engagement, the white paper advocates for all stakeholders to actively participate in and support data governance efforts, outlining initiatives and recommendations for each stakeholder. The ultimate goal is to facilitate progress in intelligent driving and service optimisation, ensure sustainable development of the industry, and enhance data quality and security. ACO Tech also unveiled a new logo, marking its vision for the next phase of innovation in smart mobility. The circular form represents seamless connectivity and the continuity of the company’s journey of innovation and improvement. Within this circle are stylised elements that spell out ACO, with the main component representing the letter A resembling a vehicle that signifies mobility as the core of ACO Tech’s product and services. The new logo symbolises the company’s dynamism, along with its renewed vision, direction and ambition in the highly competitive automotive technology sector.

Reflecting on ACO Tech’s journey since 2019, the company has reached several key milestones, including becoming Malaysia’s first dedicated automotive cloud provider to enable smart mobility solutions within the ATLAS ecosystem which encompasses the IHU, application, and watch. Since its establishment, ACO Tech has built a network of over 300,000 connected cars in Malaysia.
