From Chery Press Release
At the recent Auto China 2026 (Beijing Auto Show), CHERY International (CHERY) has announced its plans to serve 10 million export customers worldwide by 2030.
Since launching in 1997, CHERY has grown into an international automotive brand covering more than 120 countries and regions, serving over 5 million export customers outside of the domestic market to date. As a Fortune 500 company, listed at 233rd position, Chery International is China’s largest vehicle exporter, operating in over 130 countries.
As the UK division of CHERY International, CHERY UK has underlined its position as a key contributor to the overall business growth target by 2030. Since its brand launch in August 2025, CHERY UK has established itself as one of the UK’s fastest growing automotive brands. Over 13,500 cars were sold from September 2025 to March 2026 inclusive, with March sales figures of 4,544 cars marking a three-fold increase on the previous month.
CHERY has built a global network of eight R&D centers, 36 production bases, more than 2,000 dealers, and over 1,800 service centers. It firmly practices the localised operation philosophy of "In Somewhere, For Somewhere, Be Somewhere" – the company’s strategy to fully integrate into local markets, by understanding the needs of its customers.
TIGGO V SUV design debut underlines ‘For Family’ proposition
At Auto China 2026, the CHERY stand hosted the reveal of the all-new TIGGO V - a production-ready, transformable ‘3-in-1’ family model that combines SUV, MPV and pickup-style functionality in a single model.
It offers flexible interior configurations, with a three-row seven-seat layout, and a modular rear that can adapt for passengers, cargo or outdoor use. Built on a scenario-driven concept, the TIGGO V is powered by CHERY’s sixth-generation Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology, balancing efficiency with capability, while advanced safety systems and a high-strength body structure underpin its family-focused credentials.
The TIGGO V marks a key step in CHERY’s global ‘For Family’ strategy, targeting more practical, multi-purpose mobility solutions for modern households.
Alongside the TIGGO V, CHERY also showcased its Valet Parking & Driving (VPD) technology, One-touch Departure, and One-step Homecoming – a suite of convenience features designed to make ownership as seamless as possible.
Speaking at the CHERY Press Conference during Auto China 2026 earlier today, Jeff Zhang, CEO of CHERY Brand, said: "Every innovation of ours is driven by one original aspiration — For Family. We believe that a car is never just a means of transportation, but a part of home.
“For Family is not just a slogan – it’s a promise that we safeguard the peace of mind and joy on every journey, through trusted quality and thoughtful technology.”
Farrell Hsu, Country Director, CHERY UK, said: “CHERY’s global ambition to reach 10 million customers by 2030 reflects the strength of a brand that is growing with real purpose.
“Our exceptional momentum in the UK reflects the strong appetite for high-quality, practical and accessible vehicles. In 2027, we’ll continue to introduce models which respond directly to how families live and travel today. We are confident in our ability to continue building meaningful and sustained growth in this market.”
New global partnership with NVIDIA
CHERY Automobile Co. Ltd. (CHERY Auto) has also announced its strategic collaboration with NVIDIA. The collaboration will focus on joint development and deployment of physical AI across three key domains - advanced driving assistance, Cockpit AI and robotics - accelerating Chery Auto's international growth and enabling a comprehensive ‘cloud-to-vehicle’ strategy.
For autonomous driving, Chery Auto will utilise the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform for L3/L4 intelligent vehicles in China.
NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion is a production-ready platform and reference architecture designed for L4 autonomous driving. The platform integrates the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor computing platform, a validated sensor network, and NVIDIA DRIVE AV software, designed to accelerate the deployment of safe, highly automated driving capabilities.
Meanwhile, Chery Auto will leverage toolchains and development platforms like NVIDIA Alpamayo and NVIDIA Cosmos to independently develop its autonomous driving software stack, achieving a dual strategy of self-reliance and open innovation.
Powered by NVIDIA's AI infrastructure, Chery Auto has established a secure and efficient computational foundation that robustly supports autonomous driving model training, large-scale data processing, and AI algorithm development, solidifying the core groundwork for its intelligent transformation.
For cockpit AI, Chery Auto will develop next-generation intelligent experiences on NVIDIA DRIVE. Harnessing generative AI technology, Chery Auto will craft cockpit capabilities with natural emotional interaction, comprehensive scenario awareness, and personalized services for every user, reshaping the paradigm of human-vehicle interaction.
This collaboration also extends to other cutting-edge fields such as embodied intelligence, including humanoid robots and diverse intelligent robot platforms based on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. Chery Auto will leverage the open robotics simulation framework NVIDIA Isaac Sim and the open humanoid robot development platform NVIDIA Isaac GR00T to accelerate its expansion from intelligent vehicles into robotics, exploring new frontiers in embodied intelligence.
Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Auto, stated: “Intelligent technology is the core engine driving Chery Auto’s global strategy. This strategic collaboration with NVIDIA represents a pivotal step for Chery Auto in integrating world-class technological resources and accelerating its evolution into a global high-tech ecosystem group. By combining NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure with Chery Auto’s expertise in intelligent vehicle manufacturing and global operations, the partners will jointly build a full-stack AI ecosystem to deliver more intelligent and safer mobility solutions for users.”
Rishi Dhall, Vice President of NVIDIA’s Automotive Business, stated, “Chery Auto is accelerating the widespread adoption of intelligent vehicles by capitalising on its robust strengths in technological research and development and global implementation. With NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion and our full-stack, cloud-to-vehicle AI platform, Chery Auto can expedite its development cycle and enhance deployment effectiveness, delivering safer and more intelligent vehicles worldwide. This collaboration also extends these innovations to the next frontier of physical AI: robotics.”
The partnership represents a pivotal element of Chery Auto’s AI strategy, using NVIDIA’s profound technological expertise in vehicle and cloud computing platforms, generative AI, and physical AI.
