EON and Agytek Collaborate to Advance Automotive Customer Relations Management Innovation in Malaysia

Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (“EON”), a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad (“DRB-HICOM”), and Agytek Digital Sdn Bhd (“Agytek Digital”), a digital technology company which is part of the Altel Group, have signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (“MoC”) to develop a cloud-based Sales Customer Relation Management (“SCRM”) platform tailored for the Malaysian automotive ecosystem.

The collaboration will see an SCRM platform that is localised to enhance customer engagement and service, as well as cater to the needs of Malaysian and regional automotive consumers.  

The MoC was signed recently between Akkbar Danial, Chief Executive Officer of EON, and David Di Xiong, Chief Financial Officer of Agytek Digital. Witnessing the signing were Azri Zaharuddin, Group Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Planning & Strategy and Properties, DRB-HICOM, and Mohamad Helmi Harith, Group Chief Executive Officer of Altel Group Sdn. Bhd.

“This partnership is a strategic step forward by EON in enhancing customer experience and building digital capabilities that match local needs. Together with Agytek, we are co-developing a solution that will integrate seamlessly across our retail, fleet, and leasing businesses,” said Akkbar.

While the platform architecture is globally designed, its localisation for Malaysia — including customer relations management workflows, customer data management, and user experience — will be developed in close collaboration between Agytek and EON.

“The shared aim is to position the solution as a regional best practice for digitally enabled automotive retail,” Akkbar added.

“We believe technology only matters if it solves real business problems. That’s why our solutions like the SCRM, which is a digital sales platform, are purpose-built and not generic, and built by people from the automotive industry for the automotive industry,” said David Di Xiong, CFO of Agytek Digital.

The collaboration also supports DRB-HICOM Berhad’s broader digitalisation agenda, which aims to support the transformation of Malaysia’s automotive ecosystem to be future-ready and customer-centric through the adoption of innovative hi-tech solutions
