New flagship models and updated global strategy place GAC as export frontrunner

From GAC Group Press Release

At the recent Auto China 2026 in Beijing, GAC International held its first dedicated global launch event, unveiling new products and an upgraded strategy for GAC’s international growth.

The Beijing launch event used four key words - Craftsmanship, Trust, Technology, and Ecosystem - to outline GAC's global practice roadmap, systematically explaining its strategic direction of integrating into the world through full-chain globalisation, and setting its sights on becoming a front-runner among China's auto exporters by 2030.

Kevin Shu, CEO GAC Australia said, “By evolving from a traditional exporter to a leader in global integration, we are setting a new standard for Chinese brands on the world stage. Our R&D powerhouse provides a depth in product and broader technologies, giving our local team the ability to hand-pick the exact products that meet the demands of Australian consumers”.

GAC continually pushes boundaries by harnessing advanced technology and groundbreaking innovation to create high-quality and intelligent cars.

This philosophy is perfectly embodied in the all-new GAC S7, a premium SUV and the first mass-produced vehicle built on GAC's EV+ new energy platform, equipped with the self-developed GAC ADiGO GSD system. It offers three core strengths: a full-scenario assisted driving experience, an intelligent luxury driving experience, and a luxurious & comfortable smart cabin.

The all-new Hyptec S600 positioned itself as a sophisticated mid-to-large SUV offered as both a plug-in hybrid and a pure electric vehicle, promising up to 800 km of range, with advanced autonomous driving tech and a striking new design language.

The YUE7 is GAC’s rugged SUV for families needing all-scenario use. The model features a class-leading integrated frame and digital chassis, balancing tough off-road performance with everyday comfort.

AION introduced its new brand logo and showcased two new models. The AION i60 equipped with GAC’s new-generation GAC ADiMOTION series, with a CLTC combined range of up to 1,240 km to fundamentally relieve range anxiety and the AION N60, the first vehicle in the world to use an amorphous alloy-silicon carbide electric drive.

The Aistaland brand, jointly created by GAC and Huawei Qiankun, made its debut on the international stage of the show with its first model, the Aistaland GT7.

Just prior to Auto China, on April 22, the 2026 GAC International Partner Conference, themed "Driving Forward, Winning Together," was held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. Unprecedented in scale, the event brought together a record-breaking gathering of over 700 dealers and partners from across 87 countries and regions.

From humanoid robot greeters welcoming attendees upon arrival to interactive exhibits featuring a flying car, a robotic barista, and AI-powered calligraphy, and culminating in a gala dinner highlight of a robotic lion dance accompanied by illuminated opera performers, the experience earned unanimous praise from partners in attendance, who marvelled at GAC's formidable technological prowess.
GAC is sending an unmistakable message to its global partners: going global is no longer just about selling cars. It is about fundamentally reshaping global competitiveness through a dual-engine strategy driven by technology and ecosystem innovation.

Closer to home, GAC Australia has welcomed new additions to its national network, growing the brand’s presence to 30 locations nationwide.

GAC is building strong foundations for a dealer network that offers comprehensive support for customers, with the brand exploring further expansion opportunities beyond capital city limits in readiness for its expanding model lineup.

Mr Shu added, “Developing our network of dealerships here in Australia is a key priority for our In Australia, For Australia strategy. We understand the trepidation that prospective buyers may have when committing to a new brand, and exceptional service must be provided alongside exceptional product. We have paid close attention to selecting partners that we are confident will deliver the highest levels of support to GAC owners for the long-term”.

“In China, GAC has been recognised as #1 for customer satisfaction in the J.D Power surveys time and time again. We aspire to replicate this here in Australia, along with the growing acceptance of our products”.

GAC launched in Australia in late 2025 with the all-electric AION V, EMZOOM compact SUV and luxurious MPV, the M8 PHEV, and recently introduced the AION UT compact EV hatch.

GAC has committed to establishing a network of over 100 dealerships in the next three years. With extensive warranties across each of those models and a Melbourne based parts warehouse, GAC is steadfast in building its reputation for exceptional support.
