Maxim Launches Special Partner-Driver Legalization Program to Strengthen Compliance and Ensure Road Safety

Maxim, one of Malaysia’s leading e-hailing companies, has officially launched a comprehensive partner-driver legalization program aimed at ensuring that all partner-drivers operating on their platform are fully licensed, compliant, and legally authorized. This move reflects Maxim’s commitment to improving road safety, regulatory alignment, and service quality.

As part of this initiative, Maxim has overhauled its partner-driver registration and verification processes to create a more secure, transparent, and supportive onboarding experience for new partner-drivers.

“This program is not just about fulfilling legal requirements — it’s about building a stronger, more responsible e-hailing community. We want every partner-driver on our platform to feel confident, informed, and stay fully compliant,” says Mohd Hazwan, Director of Maxim E-hailing Malaysia.

Key Features of the Legalization Program
1. Streamlined Registration Process
A dedicated team now oversees the entire registration process to ensure all documents are correctly submitted and verified. New partner-drivers are required to upload the following documents:

*Valid PSV license
*Insurance certificate
*PUSPAKOM inspection report
*MyKad
*Vehicle’s and partner-driver’s photos

2. Enhanced Verification and Compliance Procedures
Every submitted document is manually reviewed for authenticity by a trained internal compliance professional. This rigorous validation process ensures that only eligible partner-drivers are granted access to the platform.
3. Education and Support Resources
To support partner-drivers in obtaining the necessary licenses and permits, Maxim has introduced the following:

*Step-by-step digital registration guides
*Educational videos on how to obtain PSV and licenses
*Real-time notifications during registration for missing or expired documents

4. Collaboration with Driving Schools
Maxim has partnered with over 25 driving schools across Malaysia to assist aspiring partner-drivers in obtaining both EVP and PSV licenses. As part of the program, partner-drivers are also eligible for license expense reimbursements in the form of platform bonus credits.

"Maxim’s new registration process is a big improvement. It’s clearer, faster, and I like it that they guide you step by step, especially with the PSV and EVP licenses. The real-time alerts helped me fix my issue quickly, and the bonus that compensated the license fees was a nice surprise. It really feels like they care about helping partner-drivers stay legal and safe on the road,” said Mr. Ahmad Azmee, a Maxim partner-driver from Sungai Petani.

Additionally, a robust partner-driver outreach campaign is underway, which is set to include app notifications, SMS updates, phone support, and in-person events to educate partner-drivers on maintaining legal and professional standards.
