The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class electric: Athletic proportions, advanced technology and powerful all-electric performance

From Mercedes-Benz Press Release

The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class electric brings together expressive design, exhilarating electric performance and an immersive digital interior, while retaining the comfort and everyday usability that have long been the hallmark of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Designed from the outset around an electric architecture, the all-new C-Class electric’s low, powerful front-end flows into a sleek coupé-like silhouette and athletic GT-style rear.

Athletic proportions meet an illuminated new identity
The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class electric features clean surfaces with taut proportions and a flowing roofline, creating a silhouette that balances elegance with a distinctly sporting stance.

At the front, the Mercedes-Benz grille combines a wide chrome frame with a smoked glass-look panel featuring 1,050 illuminated dots, an integrated central star and an illuminated surround. Animated lighting sequences bring the grille to life when the vehicle is unlocked, locked or charging.

The advanced DIGITAL LIGHT headlamp system uses micro-LED technology to deliver a high-resolution illumination field approximately 40 per cent larger than the previous generation, while consuming up to 50 per cent less energy. Its adaptive high-beam technology provides improved visibility without dazzling other road users, while intelligent cornering lights use camera and map information to illuminate bends more precisely.

The AMG Line and the Night Package are standard, bringing a more dynamic edge to the all-new C-Class electric, with distinctive AMG bodystyling that emphasises its athletic proportions. The Night Package introduces contrasting dark exterior accents, including the exterior mirror housings in high-gloss black, the surround and the Mercedes-Benz pattern of the illuminated grille and front apron in dark chrome, for an even more purposeful look.

The exterior treatment is complemented by striking 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, while dark-tinted glass and metallic paint add to its sophisticated appearance.

Inside, the AMG Line continues the sporting theme with a multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in ARTICO man-made leather, AMG floor mats and a black fabric roof lining. Surround lighting with animated projections of the Mercedes-Benz pattern adds an elegant touch when entering or leaving the vehicle, while a sporty driving sound further enhances the sense of occasion behind the wheel.

Heat and noise-insulating acoustic glass contributes to a quieter cabin, while the KEYLESS-GO Convenience Package adds to everyday ease of use.

A new interior shaped around comfort and technology
The cabin combines familiar C-Class comfort with a thoroughly contemporary digital environment.

The latest Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) brings infotainment, navigation, charging, driving assistance and comfort functions together under a single, intelligent ecosystem. Connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud, the system supports regular over-the-air software updates, allowing vehicle functions to be improved and new features introduced without requiring a workshop visit.

MB.OS also powers the fourth generation of MBUX, introducing a more intuitive and personalised digital experience. Its AI-powered MBUX Virtual Assistant combines technology from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini to understand natural speech, respond to complex questions and maintain multi-part conversations.

The navigation is based on Google Maps and works alongside Mercedes-Benz Navigation with Electric Intelligence, which calculates routes and charging stops using factors such as battery charge, traffic conditions and driving style and can also automatically prepare the battery so it’s temperature is at the optimum level for DC charging.

The all-new C-Class electric features the MBUX Superscreen as standard, which brings together three displays beneath a sweeping, continuous glass surface spanning the dashboard. These include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch central touchscreen and a dedicated 14-inch front-passenger display, creating an immersive digital environment while keeping essential driving information clearly in view.

The standard AMG Line Sports Seat Package brings a more dynamic feel to the interior, while heated, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and lumbar support allow occupants to find their ideal seating position with ease. A head-up display keeps essential driving information within the driver’s line of sight, reducing the need to look away from the road.

Meanwhile, the Burmester® 3D surround sound system delivers rich, immersive audio, complemented by Ambient Lighting Plus, which allows occupants to personalise the cabin atmosphere to suit their mood or journey.

An ARTICO-trimmed dashboard and brown open-pore fineline birch wood centre console trim introduce contrasting textures to deliver an impressive interior aesthetic.

The all-new C 400 4MATIC electric comes standard with ARTICO upholstery and steering wheel trim, incorporating independently certified vegan materials. The interior is fitted with premium materials across all soft-touch surfaces, including the headliner, pillars, door panels and carpeting.

Additionally, the ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL system helps maintain a cleaner, more comfortable cabin environment by filtering the air entering the vehicle, reducing exposure to airborne pollutants such as fine dust and pollen.

A panoramic roof with individual control
The SKY CONTROL panoramic roof brings an eye-catching new dimension to the C-Class cabin, combining an expansive glass surface with greater control over natural light and interior comfort.

Rather than operating as one continuous dimmable panel, the roof is divided into nine electrically adjustable segments, allowing occupants to individually adjust the transparency of different sections. This provides targeted protection against glare and strong sunlight while preserving the open, airy feeling of a panoramic glass roof.

Electric performance with 4MATIC traction
The all-new Mercedes-Benz C 400 4MATIC electric combines its emphasis on comfort with substantial performance.

Its dual-motor electric drivetrain delivers up to 360 kW and 800 Nm, with 4MATIC all-wheel drive intelligently distributing power between the front and rear axles to provide confident traction across a wide range of driving conditions.

The 0–100 km/h sprint is covered in just 4.0 seconds, delivering the kind of exhilarating acceleration and effortless performance that defines the C-Class.

A 94 kWh usable lithium-ion battery provides a WLTP-tested driving range of up to 753 kilometres depending on specification, while the 800-volt electrical architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 330 kW. Under optimal conditions and when connected to a compatible high-power DC charging station, up to 325 kilometres of WLTP-tested range can be added in approximately 10 minutes.

An innovative two-speed transmission on the rear axle combines high efficiency with strong performance. First gear delivers responsive acceleration from a standstill while optimising efficiency in urban driving. At higher speeds, second gear supports sustained power delivery and efficient motorway driving, contributing to excellent range and comfort on longer journeys.

The electric architecture also enables additional usable space. The rear luggage compartment provides 470 litres of capacity, complemented by a generous 101-litre front boot, or frunk, providing a convenient place for charging cables, smaller luggage or everyday items.

Driver assistance for everyday confidence
A comprehensive suite of assistance and parking technology complements the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class electric’s performance and comfort.

The C 400 4MATIC electric comes standard with MB.DRIVE driving and parking assistance systems, bringing together a comprehensive suite of technologies designed to make everyday journeys safer and less demanding. These include Distance Assist DISTRONIC to help maintain a set distance from vehicles ahead, Blind Spot Assist Plus to monitor surrounding traffic, lane-keeping function, speed-limit warnings and Traffic Sign Assist. Brake Assist and evasive steering assistance provide additional support in potentially hazardous situations, while exit warnings can alert occupants to approaching traffic when opening a door.

For added convenience, MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST 360 combines PARKTRONIC parking sensors, automated parking assistance and a 360-degree camera system to help drivers navigate tight parking spaces, crowded shopping centres and confined driveways.

Together with the extensively digitalised control and display concept, these technologies make the C-Class intuitive and comfortable from the moment occupants step inside.

Options
For customers seeking an even broader balance between comfort and handling, the optional Agility and Comfort Package introduces AIRMATIC air suspension with intelligent suspension control and rear-axle steering. AIRMATIC continuously adapts the suspension to changing road and driving conditions, bringing a level of ride sophistication traditionally associated with larger luxury models. Rear-axle steering complements the system by improving manoeuvrability at lower speeds with a steering angle of up to 4.5° and enhancing stability and precision when travelling more quickly.

The optional Luxury Package builds further on the C-Class interior with enhanced comfort and digital technology. Climatised front seats and heated rear seats extend comfort across both rows, while an illuminated star pattern transforms the panoramic roof after dark. At the centre of the package is the expansive 99.3 cm MBUX Hyperscreen. Extending across almost the entirety of the dashboard, it brings the driver and passenger displays together beneath a continuous glass surface to create an immersive digital environment, with dynamic content restricted to when the vehicle is parked to help minimise driver distraction.

Customers can remove the Night Package at no additional cost, replacing element such as high-gloss black exterior mirror housings and additional black accents on selected exterior components with a more understated exterior appearance.
