With the new eyewear collection, Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG and ic! berlin are continuing their successful cooperation which began in 2020. The eight new timelessly elegant premium models combine the styling and lines of Mercedes-Benz with the expressive aesthetics of Mercedes-AMG. Available as either prescription glasses or sunglasses, they are made by hand in the ic! berlin manufactory.
The MB models are inspired by the design idiom of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Puristic lines, flowing contours and high-quality materials characterise the four pairs of prescription glasses and sunglasses in this collection. The range of colours extends from discreet to elegant, with highlights in the iconic Mercedes-Benz colours.
The AMG models combine sophisticated aesthetics with precise dynamics. They are available in exciting colour combinations and strikingly coloured lenses such as Crocus and Ultraviolet, but also in timeless versions such as Black or Venice Green. A particular highlight of two models is the innovative FLEXARBON® carbon fibre, which is designed based on the carbon-fibre appointments seen inside Mercedes-AMG vehicles; it ensures ultra-lightweight comfort and unparalleled durability.
The new eyewear collection comprises the following eight models:
MB 17 – prescription glasses
This unisex model is the contemporary answer to classic, square frame shapes. MB 17 impresses with its organic lines, the temple side is adorned with a finely inlaid Mercedes-Benz logo, which is finished with a PVD coating, lending it particularly high quality and durability. The combination of different frame and temple colours enhances the look – also thanks to a subtly balanced metallic effect. Available in Aubergine / Rosé Gold, Gun Metal / Shiny Graphite, Pearl / Gun Metal, Electric Powder Blue / Chrome.
MB 18 – prescription glasses
Clean lines and minimalist aesthetics give MB 18 a classic navigator look. Inspired by the design idiom of Mercedes-Benz, the prescription glasses combine a modern look with functional perfection. The classic temples feature an abstract star pattern that subtly echoes the Mercedes-Benz logo. The glasses are available in four colours or colour combinations, which are also based on the Mercedes-Benz colour range: Pearl / Gun Metal, Bronze, Black / Rose Gold, Aubergine / Bronze.
MB 19 – sunglasses
Puristic elegance with flowing contours and high-quality materials – the Aviator sunglasses combine organic lines with sophisticated design. The classic double bridge is extra long and reinforced with an additional strut. Reminiscent of the striking windscreen of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the lens of the sunglasses is engraved with the subtle Mercedes-Benz hexagonal pattern. The colour highlight of the sunglasses is the reflective Ultrabeam coloured glass, which is also used in the interior of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. MB 19 is made from high-quality stainless steel, guaranteeing durability and a highly comfortable fit. It is available in four colours: Pearl, Gun Metal, Chrome, Bronze.
MB 20 – sunglasses
The oversized sunglasses in navigator shape impress with their size and modern look. The high-quality stainless steel ensures reliable resilience. Reminiscent of the iconic windscreen of a Mercedes-Benz, the edge of the lens features the familiar hexagonal pattern. The reflective Ultrabeam coloured glass creates a colour highlight and offers optimum protection from bright light. Two lenses are manufactured in colour tones using gradient lenses: warm black and subtle shades of grey and brown. MB 20 is available in four colour shades: Graphite, Gun Metal, Black, Bronze.
AMG 12 – prescription glasses
AMG 12 is characterised by prominent lines and a striking design. The angular shape and the finely engraved lines on the front emphasise the sporty character. The insides of the temples feature colour highlights in purple, yellow or orange. Inspired by AMG Performance, the glasses combine a dynamic design with innovative technology. AMG 12 is made from high-quality, durable stainless steel and is extremely comfortable to wear. It is available in the colours Graphite / Crocus, Gun Metal / Yellow and Aubergine / Orange.
AMG 13 – sunglasses
The aesthetics of the sporty Mercedes-AMG vehicles and the iconic figure-8 curve were the inspiration for this unisex model. The AMG 13 sunglasses embody dynamism and elegance. The striking recesses on the upper edge of the glasses and the temples are particularly eye-catching. The temple inlay with the embossed Mercedes-AMG logo provides an elegant finish. AMG 13 is available in the colours Pearl / Marine Blue, Bronze / Venice Green and Black.
AMG 14 – prescription glasses
Ultra-light performance inspired by racing technology – the AMG 14 prescription glasses. This is the first eyewear in the collection to be made from the innovative FLEXARBON® material, i.e. carbon fibre. Advanced material technology and precise craftsmanship have created a line optimised for comfort and durability. The carbon-fibre front with the unmistakable "Median Night" pattern emphasises the high-tech character of the glasses. The pattern is continued in a slightly different form on the inside of the temples. Mercedes-AMG design features and the logo can also be found there; the subtle colour highlights on the temples further emphasise the character of the glasses. AMG 14 is available in three different colour combinations: Median Night / Venice Green, Median Night / Yellow and Median Night / Crocus.
AMG 15 – sunglasses
The unisex AMG 15 sunglasses are characterised by their angular design. They are the first sunglasses in the collection to feature the innovative ultra-violet lens. Like AMG 14, they are made from innovative FLEXARBON® carbon fibre. Thanks to the spectacle bridge, they rest securely and firmly on the nose and are also very comfortable to wear. The design of the temples creates a colourful highlight in combination with the discreetly placed AMG logo; the sunglasses are available in the colours Median Night / Crocus, Median Night / Venice Green and Median Night / Orange. The colours available for the lenses are Ultra Violet, Teal Mirror and Grey Fume.
