PROTON welcomed a total of 12 dealers approved for 3S and 4S status. Out of these, 6 were new dealers. Having recently officiated 3S and 4S outlets across Central region for the opening of outlets, PROTON is excited to announce that 6 new dealers have joined PROTON to establish themselves as 3S and 4S outlets nationwide.
The Dealers Network Upgrade and New Dealership Agreement signing ceremony was held at PROTON Centre of Excellence. Abdul Rashid Musa, Chief Executive Officer of PROTON Edar Sdn Bhd, represented PROTON to sign the agreements. Present for the ceremony was Dr Li Chunrong, Chief Executive Officer of PROTON, Dato’ Radzaif Mohamed, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PROTON and Senior Management members of PROTON.
The six new investors present for the signing ceremony were; Victorange Sdn Bhd, Fook Loi Corporation (Sabah) Sdn Bhd (Kota Kinabalu), Fook Loi Corporation (Sabah) Sdn Bhd (Sandakan), Ming Heng Sdn Bhd, Grand Arena Automotive Sdn Bhd and YS Autoworld Sdn Bhd.
6 existing dealers upgraded to 3S and 4S
True to the brand’s commitment to serve customers better, outlets are starting to re-brand itself to be more prominent, enticing and attractive. Interior and exteriors of outlets are being enhanced with new and refreshed look to ensure a smooth customer experience when they walk into PROTON outlets.
Outlet upgrades on track – 85% achievement against target
To-date, 93 outlets have been approved for upgrades to 3S and 4S, achievement of 85% against target. There are 16 outlets remaining to achieve the target of 109, which PROTON is confident of achieving.
“All our plans are on track with most states having fulfilled its quota for outlet upgrades except for 5 states which are Melaka, Johor, Terengganu, Perak and Central. However, the numbers are small. We are confident, even before October, we should be able to realise the total of 109 outlets,” said Abdul Rashid Musa, Chief Executive Officer of PROTON Edar Sdn. Bhd.
Rashid added, “Moreover, I am satisfied with the developments that are ongoing at PROTON outlets. More and more are upgrading and enhancing their outlets to provide better sales and service experience. I believe, the investment they make today will reap returns in the long term. The new and upgraded outlets will set the pace for others who are keen on selling future Proton models, starting with the much anticipated SUV”.
