Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) recently announced an exclusive partnership with Liga Suparimau - Malaysia’s nationwide grassroot football league. The collaboration aims to further lay the foundations of Malaysia’s budding youth football scene.
This activation is part of Volkswagen’s recently launched We Drive Football campaign, which sees the brand push its commitment to embrace the passion, unity and diversity that comes with the footballing way of life to the next level.
As Liga Suparimau’s official automotive partner, Volkswagen will have a presence at selected matches nationwide, including at the finals in December.
At the end of the season, Volkswagen will also announce the 12 winners of the Goals of the Season competition from across the 12 different categories in Liga Suparimau.
Erik Winter, Managing Director of VPCM said that Volkswagen’s name is one synonymous with football across the globe, and partnering up with Liga Suparimau is an excellent way for VPCM to support Malaysia’s ever growing footballing scene, especially at the grassroots level.
Liga Suparimau is Malaysia’s nationwide youth league which was launched in January 2022 across the country. It consists of leagues for both boys and girls aged between 5 and 17, with the mission to provide consistent competition and opportunities for youth footballers in all states by 2024.
